Want to get to know the team that makes the magic happen? We set out to dig a little deeper, get the juicy details of their lives, and bring it all to you. Meet Shanae Michalak, yoga teacher, vegan chef, and Project Scrum Master

Q: What is your role at MTR?

A: Project Manager/ Scrum Master.

Q: OK, but who are you, really?

A: I am a young woman who enjoys traveling, parenting, cooking, doing yoga, spending quality time, and creating new experiences with my loved ones.

Q: What do you do for MTR clients?
A: I help to facilitate cross-functional development teams, manage relationships, deliver expected outcomes on time, schedule tasks, and delegate assignments.

Q: Why did you pick marketing as your career?
A: I enjoy being a servant leader both in my career and personal life. I enjoy networking and leading teams and people to succeed. I’ve always loved group projects as a child, and now that I have the opportunity to work in a team environment as an adult, I couldn’t let that pass me up.

Q: Describe your dream kind of client?
A: My ideal client is a team that values transparency in communication and building a strong rapport between both teams.

Q: What’s the most exciting thing you are working on right now?
A: One of the most exciting things I am working on outside of MTR is catering meals, as well as being a vendor at pop-up events.

Q: Where do you live and what’s your favorite thing to do or place to be in your town?
A: I live in Houston, TX. My favorite thing to do is to teach yoga and cook plant-based foods.

Q: What is one thing MTR clients would be surprised to learn about the company, the team, or the process?
A: I think our clients would be surprised to know that MTR really operates in a family environment. Our team invests in the growth of its members. We thrive in transparency and innovation.

Q: What is an achievement you are really proud of?
A: I am proud of moving my family to Houston, TX by myself. I wanted to give my children the opportunity to live in multiple states, to experience more in life.

Q: What makes you laugh?
A: I am extremely clumsy, most times I just laugh at myself.

Q: What 3 things do you need to create your best work?
A: The autonomy to be creative, transparent, and patience within the team.

Q: What's your vice/guilty pleasure?
A: My guilty pleasure is eating vegan cookies from Sprouts.

Q: What is your superpower?
A: My superpower is being relatable and providing comfort to those around me.

Q: If this were a high school yearbook, what would you be voted as: “Most likely to….”
A: I would be voted as most likely to brighten your day.

Q: If you can see yourself through the eyes of somebody else for a moment who would it be?
